I truly appreciate you taking the time to get to know a little bit more about me, and encourage you to get in touch if there’s anything else you would like to know.
My name is Zach, and I am a blogger, the editor of GuyMaven.com, and a YouTuber. Having joined Facebook in 2006, Twitter in 2008, and kicked off my blog in 2010, I have spent the better part of ‘career’ years in the social media and content creation industry. As a relatively new industry, there are mistakes to be made and lessons to be learned, and I certainly have made and learned many. From a scrappy startup blogger intent on shaking up the Toronto social media scene, to the more mature and business minded creator that I am now – one thing has remained the same, I love creating content that engages the reader and inspires discussion.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s biggest brands developing content for their platforms and subsequently consumed by millions – while the life of a freelance content creator doesn’t always come with a fancy byline, it does come up with an immense amount of pride in knowing (and seeing) my content in magazines, newspapers, websites and blogs across North America.
I’m also an incredibly creative person, always willing to try new things and explore fun opportunities. The result has been media coverage of said projects from around the world. My creativity has also enabled me to always create content unlike any of my peers in the industry – I don’t look at a press release and write from that, instead I sit down and come up with entirely unique stories to tell that include the message. As a YouTuber, you’ll find my intent is to entertain and educate. Edutainment fits naturally into my style where I can teach the viewer a little bit while hopefully making them laugh, or at the very least smile, as they watch. I encourage you to subscriber, comment and leave a like if you enjoy the content there – believe it or not, but it helps immensely and I love the interaction.
Thank you again for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me and who I am. As I opened, if there’s anything else you would like to know or you just want to send a message, check out the contact page for the best ways to get in touch!
