The Oprah Bussey Giveaway Update

I’ve got some stuff to giveaway and I figured the best way to do it would be all in one post! I’m like Oprah, except you don’t all win and I’m not a woman, nor black (wait, Klout says I’m influential about Black People so does that sorta count?), nor on a television show… or that overweight (I’m on a diet)… or that rich. So scratch that, I’m not at all like Oprah. I’m just some guy giving away some stuff that you likely want.

First, Lindsey Kelk has written a new book. It’s called The Single Girls To Do List and is available to buy in stores at the beginning of August. But I have a pre-release copy to give away… and it’s signed! Now I’ve read the book(I have my own copy) and actually liked it. You get to know the characters and actually care about the main character, who has a really hot name – Rachel Summers. There’s a breakup and she’s trying to deal with it – well after one last breakup hookup. (Let me add, I always liked those.) So now newly single, Rachel with the help of her friends sets out a ‘bucket list’ of things to do now that she’s single.

I won’t spoil the rest, you’ll have to read for yourself. But, the writing is fun, upbeat and interesting. Fabio never enters the frame… and there’s more than enough talk of sex to keep a simple male mind interested in it too! My only critique is one that isn’t really a critique at all, Lindsey is English and as such, some of the mentions and word choices aren’t really that well known to most North Americans. You could figure it out (or Google it if you really had to.) An enjoyable read for me which was a shock – I only read non-fiction or violent action books or one’s with pictures.

Secondly, Volkswagen Canada and the Freedriving Experience is coming to Toronto on July 22nd to Ontario Place. I’ve got a VIP Invitation for two to give away. As a VIP, you’ll get to drive every single VW car on site through a test track. With an experienced instructor beside you, you’ll get to really drive the way a nice car should be driven (hard and fast with lots of curves)! You’ll also get some VIP goodies and treated as such the entire time you’re there. (The event is free, but the VIP allows you to bypass any line, drive as many cars as you like and as I said other VIP stuff.)

I’d switch bodies with Ryan Reynolds too… just in general. Gah, guess I better go do my P90x after this. The Change Up comes to theaters on August 5th.
