Ever have those days that just seem to be designed for you? The past two days have seemed that way to me. I’m not sure what the change is, but it feels like this time is mine. Kind of a Carpe Diem but rather than it being about seizing the day, the days have been seized.
Yesterday I saw a beautiful house a couple blocks away from University of Toronto that’s being renovated and brought onto the market in September. The home has been there since 1901 I believe, and is going to be completed renovated inside, but keeping all the beauty that they used to put into homes 100 years ago. Real plaster crown mouldings, cove ceilings, beautiful brick construction. Just amazing. And this is the third floor patio. What a view!
The house will likely list in the $1.5-1.6 million range, so start saving now… if I can make that much by September, I’m buying it! It’s a dream!
In other news, I have an interview with Trend Hunter today that I’m really looking forward to. As you know, I’ve been self employed for a while but always keeping my eye open for the right opportunity for me. Well, when I saw this opportunity, immediately I wanted it. I think I would thrive in the position! I’ve shown a few people who’s opinions I really respect in business and social media, and all have said ‘Sounds perfect for you.’ So hopefully Trend Hunter thinks the same!
But in the meantime, my roommate brought home some 2011 Valentines chocolate… a whole box of it… and while I’ve been good not to eat it too liberally, I did steal a pack yesterday (which he’ll find out about today when he reads this.)
Couldn’t help it… the bear and the chocolates inside were calling to me…
Oh, and one other thing… did you see the Perseid Meteor Shower last night? I saw 3 or 4 big fireballs shooting across the sky. Very cool. It’s unfortunate Earth Hour didn’t position themselves around meteor showers because the light pollution in Toronto makes it difficult to find a good spot to watch them.
Don’t forget to enter in the #BeerClassTO contest I’m holding! 150+ different types of beer to pour, drink, sample, whatever! It’s going to be great!
