Gillette…
Jul 03
AMP Energy Juice sent me some of their product and some tshirts (which I’ve handed out most). This product is great. I still drink it when making coffee is too much of a hassle and I don’t have time to stop at a coffee shop. But AMP knew that if I disliked their product, I wouldn’t say good things about them.
That’s the way I function… good product? Good reviews. Bad product? Bad reviews. And I’ve always been honest if people asked if I’d been compensated in any way.
Well, I was hooked up with a few Gillette Fusion Proglide razors + blades and a couple bottles of Gillette “Intense Cooling Lotion.”
If you don’t know, Gillette Fusion Proglide is the improvement on Gillette Fusion, which is the improvement on Mach 3.
I’ve used Mach 3 for years without incident. It’s given me a close, smooth shave with no razor burn or any serious cuts.
But this was the latest in technology, so I figured this was going to be a great shave!
Boy was I wrong. This has to have been the worst shave of my life.
Nothing in my shaving routine changed besides the razor. I still did it after getting out of the shower. I still did it using the same shaving cream I always do. I still did it using the exact same method as always.
And all I got was a face of cuts, irritation, razor burn and now (about 30 hours later) a face that’s still red, painful to the touch and irritated. And 30 hours later, I look like I haven’t shaved in a while! (Usually I can go 60 hours before it gets like this)
I let Gillette know of my terrible experience on Twitter. (Btw, yes I shaved at 5 lol. Was a busy morning.)
Their reply? Essentially.. Do you know how to shave? If not, watch this video. Or, buy our $7 Pro Series products.
Look Gillette, I’ve been using your product for years. Despite my youthful looks I have in fact been shaving for 10 years. At this point I think I know how to shave… BUT, if your new advanced technology requires re-education in order to do it right, you’re doing “Innovation” wrong.
The Intense Cooling Lotion on the other hand is good at making it hurt a little less… so that I can recommend.
But Gillette Fusion Proglide Razors… throw it on the ground and stick with Mach 3.
